Annual events in Alcoutim

Feira de Doces d'Avó at Easter in Alcoutim - not just the delicious local sweet treats but music, children's games, egg painting and more make up the festivities.
Feira de São Marcos in Pereiro on 25th April
Feira de São Pedro in Vaqueiros traditionally takes place on 29th June
Feira do Pão Quente e Queijo Fresco (Hot bread and fresh cheese) in Vaqueiros. Although this has only been running for a few years it has become very popular, particularly with tourists to the area.(March)
Feira de Artesanato (Arts and crafts) in Alcoutim
Feira 1.º de Maio (Labour Day fair on the 1st May) in Bentos, with the chance to taste the wonderful sardine barbecue.
Feira de Corpo de Deus in Martinlongo takes place on 30th May
Festa de Vaqueiros - 1st week in August
Festa de Alcoutim - It starts on the first Friday in September and continues for 5 days with music, entertainment, games and sports on the Guadiana river.
Festa de Martinlongo - 2nd week in September
Feira da Perdiz (Partridge Fair) in Martim Longo - last weekend in October. Crafts, regional gastronomy, music and sporting activities are all included.
